Cartwright-Pescatore, with a team composed of partners Giacomo Pescatore, Simon Cartwright and Beatrice Cremonese, advised Italpizza, the world’s leading Italian group in the production of frozen pizzas, in the transaction that led the Modenese company to acquire the pizza production site located in Caudry (in Northern France) and owned by Nestlé.

Together with Cartwright-Pescatore, Luigi Chiarello of the Chiarello-Tomei law firm, Alexandra Arigoni of the Arigoni Avocats law firm and Giuseppe Mario Sartorio of Scouting S.p.A. collaborated in the transaction.

As indicated by Italpizza in its press release “for the transaction, in addition to the cost of purchasing the production site, Italpizza will allocate more than twelve million euros of investment for modernisation works in a multi-year plan that will run from 2024 to 2028. For this purpose, the company under French law “Mantua.fr sas” has been established.

Italpizza hopes that the restart of production will take place as soon as possible in order to meet the large-scale production volumes already acquired through important contracts with new international customers. The inauguration is indicatively planned for autumn 2024, but will also depend on the timing of bureaucratic and administrative processes”.
