Cartwright – Pescatore, with a legal team composed by Mr. Giacomo Pescatore and Ms. Beatrice Cremonese, together with Mr. Luigi Chiarello from the law firm Chiarello-Tomei, provided assistance to Mantua.it S.r.l., a subsidiary of Italpizza S.p.A., in the outright purchase of the company Mantua Surgelati S.p.A.
This acquisition marks the culmination of a significant and complex transaction which started in October 2022 when Italpizza was awarded the company Mantua Surgelati S.p.A. following a competitive bidding process initiated by the court-appointed administrator; subsequently, Italpizza operated the business under a lease, through its subsidiary Mantua.it, until 10 July 2023, when the parties entered into the final purchase agreement.
Therefore, the integration process between the two companies – which exhibit strong synergies in terms of market presence, technologies and product offering – has been successfully concluded. This integration required for the Italpizza Group an investment exceeding 60 million euros and, as stated by Mr. Andrea Bondioli, general manager of Italpizza, in the coming years additional technological investments will take place to fully unlock the potential of the sites in Castelbelforte (MN) thus ensuring not only the existing employment levels but also interesting growth opportunities.
