Simon Cartwright and Giacomo Pescatore were speakers at the webinar entitled “Brexit: impact on contracts, relationships between businesses and legal risks”, organised by ANIMA-Confindustria meccanica varia.
The meeting provided a general overview of the principal changes that Brexit will bring to trade relations between the UK and EU countries. The aim was to provide the participants with a preliminary outline of the main regulatory and practical issues in order to prepare for the changes that will take place as of 1 January 2021.
Although some aspects have yet to be defined due to the protracted negotiations between the British government and the European Commission for a free trade agreement, businesses need to define their procedures without delay so as to be ready for the end of the transition period, when Brexit will take full effect.
