On 14 February 2019, the new Insolvency Code was published in the Official Gazette (D. Lgs. 12 of January 2019, n. 14), to replace the Insolvency Law of 16 March 1942, n. 267. The new Insolvency Code will come into force on 15th august 2020 (with the exception of the amendments to the Italian Civil Code, which will come into force on 16th march 2019), meanwhile, the old Insolvency Law will continue to apply to the pending procedures and to the appeals filed before said deadline.
